THE LETTER OF THE YOUNG WOMEN
ISRAELI WOMEN COUNT!
On October 7, members of the terrorist organization, Hamas, targeted Israeli women and girls in a most horrific unimaginable manner. These victims endured shocking acts of violence, sexual and physical abuse, murder, and desecration of the body and soul.
The world remains silent, but we refuse to let this silence persist. We do not want to grow up in a world where such atrocities are ignored. We must ensure the safety of women and girls - for us, for our boys and girls, and for future generations.
Our lives have been irrevocably changed since October 7. Israeli women and girls count! We, young Israeli women, have chosen to amplify the cries of the women and girls whose bodies and souls were massacred and desecrated on Saturday, October 7. We are here to make their voices heard and call for an unequivocal response because:
• The world must not ignore the rape and sexual abuse inflicted on the women and girls on October 7. The world must not ignore the shattered sense of security among Israeli women and girls. Israeli women and girls are equal to all other women and girls worldwide! What happens to us today could happen to you tomorrow.
• Silence equates to justification and support of rape and the severe violence against Israeli women and girls. Women, human rights organizations, and those guided by humane values, specifically, must raise their voices and stop denying and ignoring these atrocities.
• The world's indifference to the sexual abuse of Israeli women and girls on October 7, will have grave implications for the future sexual abuse of women and girls, the violation of their rights, and human rights overall.
• The world's disregard, denial, and hypocrisy in demanding "hard evidence" is an unacceptable form of discrimination against Israeli women. Hamas's own recordings of their massacres and sexual violence provide clear proof. Regardless of the documentation, we must believe these women, support them, and embrace them as we would women of any other country or group.
• The international community is turning a blind eye under the guise of political opinion and is ignoring facts that they choose to deny. The plea for the release of the Israeli female hostages and the condemnation of Hamas’ actions have nothing to do with politics!
• Raise your voice! Don’t be afraid. Our strength lies in our unity, and we will continue to voice our protest until all our hostages return home. The culture of "turning a blind eye" must end. There is no place for passivity or silence in the face of cruelty towards women and girls. These women and girls need your support!
Join us in our outcry for women and girls, for justice, and for basic human rights.
Sign the call for action!
